The world-famous Apollo Theater is among the most iconic entertainment venues of the modern area. In its more than 90-year history, it has launched the careers of renowned local and international artists from throughout the African diaspora. In 2018, the Apollo began development of its 25,000 square foot multidisciplinary arts center within the former famed Victoria Theater. Launched in spring 2024, the Apollo Stages at the Victoria more than double the Apollo’s administrative and support spaces, and includes a 1st floor art gallery, a 99-seat theater, and a 199-seat theater. Together the theaters will feature productions of new and emerging artists and cultural organizations from New York City and beyond. 

Over more than six years, CJAM Consulting partnered with the Apollo to design organization partnerships and a business model for the Victoria. Key features of this work included rental and co-location collaboration planning with cultural organizations and collectives, administrative and operations transition planning, financial modeling, and building of an industry leading incubation model to support emerging practitioners and bolster cultural and economic development on the 125^th Street Corridor.
